The VanishPoint Safety IV Catheter utilizes patented automated retraction technology.  Its safety mechanism minimizes exposure to the contaminated needle.  The color-code (on both the catheter hub and the housing) indicates the various needle gauges.

Integrated Safety Mechanism

The VanishPoint IV Catheter contains a safety mechanism that, when activated, automatically retracts the introducer needle into the housing, where it remains through disposal.  The push-off tab facilitates one-handed advancement and indicates the needle’s bevel orientation.
